frequently asked c.s.a. questions

I’m so glad to have discovered Joyfully Organic. The veg has been wonderful and you have always been so pleasant to communicate with and clearly passionate about what you do.

when can i register? am i too late?

Regular registration opens in March. We do expect our 2017 CSA to sell out, so register as soon as you're ready to jump on board!

What's inside a typical basket?

We provide you with the best bounty from the field. Each week you receive 5-7 vegetables. Click here to scroll through our veg gallery. Those vegetables change as the seasons do, but you can count on a nice balance of greens and root vegetables.  Curious, what's in season each month? How much does it cost + how many weeks?

The Full Season 2017 C.S.A. runs for 27 weeks, from June 15 to December 14th. We pride ourselves on being strong 3-season growers, showing our community how well we can eat from our own local area in the spring, summer, fall and even a little bit of winter!

The cost works out to $28/week for a share of hand-tended, organically grown vegetables. If you opt for home delivery to your Stouffville home, the cost per week is $34/week.

Registration is now open.

what if i'm away for a week?

You can gift that delivery of vegetables to a neighbouring friend! There is no better way to inform others about the importance of local, organic food than getting them to taste the difference! Send us an email to let us know. In the case that a friend is not available that week, let us know and we will have that week's share donated to a member in our community.

I must tell you how delicious and fresh they are. This is a surprise I look forward to every week :-)

what if i don't like a veg?

We are pretty good at re-introducing people to vegetables they thought they didn't like (if we do say so ourselves...!) Time and time again we've had C.S.A. members tell us they fell in love with a vegetable unexpectedly. We even have kids asking for more brussel sprouts (can you believe it!?) Also, we put together a snazzy newsletter each week to support you in your culinary adventures. So, trust us ;)

how do i pay?

To sign up for our Markham Stouffville full season and hold your spot, we collect a $50 deposit. (Which, of course, is deducted from your total C.S.A. cost ). The balance of your C.S.A. Share cost is spread over two payments by post-dated cheque, collected on the first day of your C.S.A.

We are enjoying them thoroughly. They have so much flavour!
