We’ve listed each bulk bag by weight, but having tricky time picturing what that quantity looks like? Let us help with that! We’ve made a simple system:
Inside is the usual portion of that vegetable you get in your Farm Box, times 3.
For example, picture the amount of carrots you usually get in your weekly box. Now multiply that x 3. That is how much is in a bulk bag.
So in other words - more, but not a wild amount more. So if your household is a big carrot eater, we recommend getting more than 1 bag when stocking up!
(Or big spinach eater, squash eater, salad eater…. Ha!)
These vegetables are happy being stored anywhere between 2-7 C degrees. A fridge, a cooler on your porch, cold cellar, or even the temperature in your garage (against the interior wall to your house) is usually pretty perfect convenient fridge temperature!
Many of our members place their veg in a cooler or a rubbermaid bin on their porch or garage to achieve these temperatures - and it works wonderfully! If you notice the night time temp is going really sub zero, drag the bin in for the night. It’s s simple as that! These root vegetables will store well for many, many weeks to come! So stock up!
